)

What do you mean?

the national cycle way. and the irresponsible dog owners and child owners
who just let their pets roam around at will with no care for anyone else,
especially the cyclist. I have been along tow paths and they are not suitable
for hybrid or road bikes ,due to bad tarmac, muddy sections and most of all badly
over grown parts. I have noticed parts of the cycle way in leicester are strewn with
broken bottles , or covered in dog s**t.
the local goverment ought to get the 'community payback Yobs' to sort it
out.

700cx28 tyres, well can't beleive the difference.
faster and easier on the hills. wouldn't have
thought narrower tyres and a higher pressure
would make so much difference. Only did 15mls
as my mate has got problems with his gears, had
to keep stopping on the hilly bits and waiting for him

went out on the bike yesterday and tried out the new
700cx28 tyres, well can't beleive the difference.

I think im going to get some slimmer tyers. The differance is notisable then? (spelling)
I had gear trubble on my other bike, when ever i put alot of presure down, i.e. hills or getting off from a junction the gears went down.
so i would wack them to the bottem for a hill, get part way up and they would slip back down. Not good!!
Anyhow, got out again today, was brilliant weather, only did 30 miles again, i managed it easy. Need to work on hills. Any sugestions on building up strength for hills?

There is a cycleway along the canal which is ok sometimes, but getting to it you NEED kevlar tyres due to the amoount of droken glass. Worst thing on the cycle network is dogs, with those very thin extendable leads. Like a tripwire!!

mmm, would be really interested to see some pics of that once it's on the bike if you could

just been messing with my two....
mainly to get the hybrid back to the right position after me and the wife used it for a bit of bike share commuting![]()
the very heavy "suspension seat post" has come of the road bike and gone back on it and i've given it a bit of a wash.
and i changed the stem from one of those useful but very heavy fully adjustable ones to a more light weight one...
and these are those cross breed tyres i was talking about before....
not a bad bike really but it's just not as nice to ride as the road bike. my favorite bit of the whole bike is this sticker....
your tyre looks on backwards
the lines are meant to p9oint forward so it looks like its pointin in front of you

yes, i noticed thatif you look close you can also see that the quick release is on the wrong side (i know there is not realy a right or wrong side on the front but it did used to be on the same side as the rear). i must have put the wheel in the wrong way round last time i cleaned it

Going back to the group ride, i'm still up for it aswell as 2 of my riding buddies.
I think the laps should be no more then 6 miles though, cause those who get dropped will have to wait absolutely bloody ages to get back on the wagon again!

My mate had that frame!!
can't go wrong, only thing is with carbon is you feel every bump. I don't find them as comfy as a steel or ally frame.
Looks a REALLLLY nice set up

enjoy it!!
