can i ask. what's the law on rear lights.
i always thought that you had to have it on still. but alot of bikers have it on flashing. so . . . whats the official law?

My understanding was that you had to have it on flashing. Please do correct me if i'm wrong though because i wouldn't want anyone to get in trouble.

At night your cycle MUST have white front and red rear lights lit. It MUST also be fitted with a red rear reflector (and amber pedal reflectors, if manufactured after 1/10/85). White front reflectors and spoke reflectors will also help you to be seen. Flashing lights are permitted but it is recommended that cyclists who are riding in areas without street lighting use a steady front lamp.

Could you not use duck tape or cable ties to hold the reflectors in if you need them?
EDIT: or some velcro?

I'm not being an arse, I'm just trying to point out how hard it would be to stick to the law of a front and rear pedal reflector
