I've just had someone make me 3 stupid offers in a row for a part on ebay despite mine being the cheapest on there at the minute. I then get a message saying "its not worth that". No what you really mean is "I'm not prepared to pay that". Had the initial offer been better I may have bartered with the person instead of just rejecting their offer.

Due to the offer made (less than half the asking price), ebay automatically rejected it and it did for the next one as well. It was the third that it I had to respond to manually but after getting such rubbish offers and having 5 people watch the item I rejected it again. I am prepared to wait for a better offer.

Have you tried setting it at an expensive price? Just wait for people to lowball you the right amount of money... Works for me.

No. I'm a penny cheaper than the next one so I appear top of the list when people use the option of "price+P&P lowest first". Normally I will haggle with people and get a price I am happy with or people just click the buy it now but in this instance the initial offer to be honest was kind of insulting. It was listed on a free listing weekend and I have enough people watching it so I am happy to wait.
