cause they're cheap?

Because a majority of them are 'repair' panels that are oversized to fit over the top of existing rusty panels. What are you having trouble with then?

Its a front drivers repair panel where the inindicater is its matching it up to the wing line above the wheel

What is the best lubricant to use when putting an exhaust system together? Did try the sealant as it said lubricant but hasn't helped!

-
Anthony30
No lubricant needed. Make sure you use exhaust sealant though.

exhaust sealant is a lubricant until it goes off. what I find does help is if to run a grit flap wheel in a drill down the ends of the pipes to clean them of any welds, burs etc and make them slide together easier.

It's always best to trial fit off the car first, to check the fitment. Lubricant shouldn't really be needed to get them to fit. Check the inside of the outer part of the join, if it's a mild steel exhaust the likelyhood will be the pip on the inside of the pipe causing it to be a tight fit, or slightly oval. If there is a pip, just remove it at the join.

3 weeks without the car (and counting) and I'm not missing it, in fact life's less stressful. Must be the extra alcohol as I'm bussing it to work!!

I'm planning to get the train to college in liverpool, from rainhill. The traffic in Liverpool is a joke at rush hour, then I would need to pay for parking. It would be far cheaper, and less stressful if I got the train. On the downside it involves walking. :(

Going for a finish as near standard as possible due to my sons age and insurance. However a braided line or two may sneak its way into the engine bay on clutch and brake master cylinders.
