this greatly depends on the quality of the hire company. I reckon it would be quite the giggle to hire a car, chuck a roll cage in and go rallying for a weekend. Then take the roll cage out again and give it back. "Honestly I have no idea where the tree-shaped dent came from...."

Think I bought a dud one ... hoping it's not me that's killed it :S Fingers crossed its just the battery again, making a clicking sound when trying to start although thinking the starter motor might have given up as well ... :S

When you are diabetic easter definitely gets better the older you get. I got given beer this year instead of chocolate. Its been a good easter this year.

Surely, beer (which is made up of carbs + alcohol) gets converted to sugars in the blood, so can't be good? I don't know, I was told that alcohol in general is bad if one is a diabetic... could've been wrong though

When you drink alcohol your liver has to process it. While its doing that it isn't using the stored glycogen that the body has. This means that the sugar in your blood drops and can cause someone to go hypo.

Hmmm, interesting. Though once the liver has processed it, surely the result is still sugars that the body cannot absorb without insulin so ones sugar level rises?

It's not that I'm a fossil but who else on this pleasant Sunday afternoon is copying a CD onto a mini-disc, using a laserdisc player?

Im listening to a 1969 Technics SU 3500 amp, albeit with a modern pre amp and DAC - sounds sublime, beats most modern stuff costing thousands for SQ... Old ways are sometimes better!
