Mine ran great for ages then died - turned out to be the coil, after changing it I then switched it over to non-ballasted and changed to another coil (just after some advice on here) and at the moment she is running great (just reaching out to touch wood!!!) :-) Some of the pinned items on here are a great help - but dont be afraid to ask in Problems, 99% of the guys will help you no matter how dumb the questions seem (I have asked a good few dumb ones!!)

No mri yet, as all my gp keeps putting it down to ‘muscle weakness’, ‘my weight’ and being under 30 (only just) and to rest and take painkillers. But whenever my back does decide to play up, it’s a really sharp pain at the base of my spine on my left side with the muscle spasms if I move wrong. With pain down my left leg and numbness and pins and needles up from my foot. Also regardless of the back pain, I can’t sit or drive for longer than about 20 mins be...

I even started swimming, even though it did mean having to learn with varying degreases of success. But even that isn’t pain free. As I tend to get a rather sharp pain in my back when either floating/swimming face down trying to keep my legs up and from the kicking itself. Which is rater off putting if I’m on my own and find myself out of my depth. But even that’s been fobbed off as ‘muscle weaknesses and ‘kicking too much’

Hmmm.. I'm no doctor but that sounds very like nerve pain to me, likely from something pressing on a nerve like a herniated disc. Poor you, sounds terrible. Push them for an mri, at least then you will know a bit more.

I have dug out all my old concert t-shirts. Today I have been wearing Van Halen from 1993. Tomorrow; Thunder.

Is it worth trying to grease a squeaking speedo cable or is a new one better? I have smallish hands, is it possible to replace the cable without taking anything apart?

-
RooBoonix
I have a special grease for that, keep it in my door pocket ;)

I've always found that wd40 / gt85 / ptfe spray does nothing for cables of any sort, including bike brake and gear cables. Oil is always the best option.

I'll try oil tonight, thanks

There is a Valuations Area at the bottom of the page. But you need 150+ posts to be able to use it yourself.

So I fell asleep at work, and got woken up by the boss! I Think I'm working to hard!
