Hi all , what carb for 1275cc with evo 1 cam and lighter flywheel, twin 1 1/4 su or HIF44

-
MrBounce
HIF44. Twins for show really. I've had both. HIF44 will make almost the same power but will cost half as much.

Does anyone know what the colour code for Blaze orange and were I can get hold of some.

-
Itsaminithing
Blaze = BLVC16
Have you specifically chosen this colour to paint your Mini as it's an early 70's colour.
In 1980 you would have had Vermillion BLVC118
Supposedly a red but looks orange on the car.

I have an automatic front subframe, and want to fit a manual engine, I could purchase the subframe mounts needed to allow a Manuel engine to be fitted, has anyone done this and if so what's it like, any advise would be appreciated.

I am thinking about changing my front drums on my 1984 Mayfair to cooper s 7.5 brakes, can I use my original hubs or do I need to change them also.

-
jonny f
if they are drum hubs, you will, if they are disc hubs, you wont.

Just seen a mini shell pop up on ebay near me. In the advert it says "vin number and v5c can be provided at extra cost". Makes you wonder why it's an extra cost as surely the shell should have a vin number attached to it. Reported.

-
mercenary62
treble dodgy

Report them to VOSA/DVSA. The vin it part of the body and should never be seperated. Owner can keep the V5/registration as you can apply to DVSA for a new one if you have the vin

And another. This time vin plate and log book for a convertible. According to the advert it came with part of another shell. Again reported. Its the only way to keep our minis safe.
