Ok peeps, as ya know .. im from the www.miniminus.co.uk site
and just recently been updating it, as had a few more to Add ! is up to #46# now !!!

and as i was updating it all, and as i STILL get a few emails from peeps wanting to know where to get one !
thought i give the current owners of the minus moulds a ring....

Well they say they is making a proper full shell, like/as the originals, made from the original moulds NOW !!!
and he will hopefully be sending over some pics of them, the spaceframe mini (thats on youtube) and pics of the making of the new (MKIII) shells !!

more new/info on the site of course !
thought id spread the word (im a little excited!)
and people opinions etc (of the news/new addition/ and updates on site ) the forum over theres being a bit dead :)

above PM was about the legal issue against BMW as its like a mini etc ...
which i cannot see as there will be any ...

odd, as i would of thought that this news would of spur'ed more interest than it has ?
i thought the minus was more sought after than this ? ...

what are people thoughts about this ?

Anything to put or keep more minis on the road is welcome I imagine a price tag in the thousands will be off putting even if it is fair for a handbuilt shell.

Also... although reading this thread before.. I only just realised that the title ment you were making more minuses... (i know the thread says it..) but its not tooo clear.. I was thinking.. in a few years it would be cool to do a minus.. No rust! :w00t:

BMW own the trademark for the 3D mini shape and similar.

The minius looks almost identical to the mini shape to joe public therefore BMW could start legal procedings!

If I had 3k to spend on a shell I'd probably go with a Minus, but then i wouldn't spend 3k on just a shell...

simple anser is yes ... SVA test's int all that hard to pass ...

and the whole BMW thing im not all too sure ..
not sure how they would see the minus copyright ? as it was before BMW had theres ?
i dont know how it would pan out in "a court of law"
but really, would they take it that far i ask u !

anyhows not really 'our' issue :teehee:

good to see a few peeps wanting to gets one
'if' it does kick of would love to add a MKIII minus register section to the site
but i have'nt had any pics from the man etc
we shall see in the fullness of time !
