We as TheMiniForum are doing a fund raising event for Macmillan, if you have any links with cancer either with someone you love or with a friend you will know how much cancer can upset a whole network of people. If you have any stories of cancer or of the Macmillan nurses then please feel free to tell us your stories. The more stories the better, as it gets people up for raising lots of money for this good cause.
What we are going to be doing?
Starting from Brands Hatch racetrack, we will be driving in convoy through France, Belgium and into Germany to the famous Nurburgring racetrack.
Along the way we will be stopping off and doing our best to raise as much money as we can at all the little places.
There is word that France, Belgium and German mini clubs will be joining on the tail of our convoy to the ring, as they have heard that the English are coming over in force, and they are all very excited about this.
Now we have to set a limit of 50 minis to do the run from England due to the mass interest from the English all wanting to be apart of this.
It is about 500 miles to the ring with an estimated 8 hours driving time in total.
The dates are September 1st - 6th
The plan is……
We leave early morning from Brands Hatch (Thursday 1st) drive to Dover crossing the Channel with Speed Ferries, drive and stop half way in a nice F1 hotel, have a meal, drink and get to know some of the people on the run.
Then on Friday 2nd we will complete the run arriving that Nurburgring.
Staying there for Saturday and Sunday, doing events and drives that have been sorted to help raise money for Macmillan.
We will be camping over there near the track at a camp site.
so we will have 2 nights in a Hotel, and 3 nights camping in are tents.
Monday start the return journey stopping over again in the F1 hotel again.
Tuesday 6th return to England. We may have a welcome drink sorted at Brands Hatch for when we get back.
but I need to work on this with Macmillan, as it would be them putting this on for all the runners.
It will cost a small fee (Click here) to do the run, but that covers you to get:
Your Run pack for everything from A to Z of what’s happening and to do.
Speed Ferries crossing there and back
Sponsor stickers and site sticker
Your F1 hotel for there and back (the half way stop over)
A Run plaque for the grill
A TheMiniForum music CD to play on the run
A single 2 way radio to keep in contact with everyone
2 run printed T-shirts
3 nights camping near the ring (track)
And some other surprise goodies
Each mini doing the run we advise will have to have 2 people in each mini in case they get problems, but we can't force people. the cost of the run and crossing is based on 2 people so it is up to you.
There is other stuff you will need to get yourself but that will be included in the runners packs in the I need to do list
We have application forms to do the run, please find out about them at the bottom of this post Print off and send back.
How did we come up with this mad idea?
Well it started off with one of our good members BARNETT who lives in Germany for a laugh said “who wants to come over here for cup of tea and biscuits” That put a idea in our heads, then watching Top Gear that night, They were at the Nürburgring and that was the seed I needed to start the fire that fuels this run even now.
So if you’re interested in joining this run, which will be done every year from now on to help support Macmillan please PRINT OFF THIS APPLICTION FORM and send us a cheque or pay by Paypal, to The Mini Forum fully filled out.
the forum is to help us sort out the run in the correct way.
Due to big problems we have come across over advance booking with Speed Ferries £50.00 will have to be payed as your desposit . But the sooner you can get it to us the more chance you are going to be in on this.
THE COST

We cannot confirm exact costs of the run as we are still sorting camping out over there next to the ring.
