After having to discover the TPM of a speedo so I could select the right Speedo drives for the gearbox recently, and having to remeber how to do it, I thought I'd write it down this time...

So here it is...

What is the TPM of my speedo

not sure what the link above shows - but i find winding the speedo for 1/10th of a mile (whilst counting the turns) then multiply that count by 10 gives you the TPM - turns per mile...

The processes in the link are a little more accurate than that...

have found its as accurate as you need considering the ratios/drive gears available
