The intention was to tart it up slightly then run it for a while till my other project was finished then do a proper job,
But a few days after buying it my other half tells me she's pregnant:-D
So plan is now to knock this one together on a tight budget and run it round for a few years.
The car
Frame progress so far from last sat morning and this morning
Would have used the frame from the other project but the estate has a twin bolt subframe.

Woo an update It's looking good, got your bottom arms sorted yet?
Sort of, Didn't look at them today though as i wasn't in the correct frame of mind.

Only really had time to make the tie bar mounts. Trying to make them blend in and to look sort of original when you look at the front of the car.

Looks good Gary, I see the bottom arms are in too now. Much left to do on it now?
Got loads to do yet, a good few days worth of head scratching and drinking tea followed by some welding. Going to take a risk by getting it power coated etc before i've even tried it in the car.
Possibly sorted out a nice shiney manifold today, just got to see if it will fit.

I need to VVC mine already, 1.6 doesnt scare me when i take it out anymore.
If your going vvc just spend the little bit extra and get a 160
