I've heard more bad than good about ARBs on a Mini -just wondered what other people think of them (and if anyone's driven a car with a Front or Rear ARB fitted)?

FYI, my Mini is used for rallying/track days (mainly sealed surface but some grass field stuff -relatively smooth)

Full Spec of my Mini is listed on the car’s blog:

I have one on the front of my hillclimb/sprint mini, and it does seem to keep everything tight and well controled but i've never driven that car without one and the whole front end is adjustable and uprated so not really sure if its the arb that makes the handling better or just the set up lol

They improve 'turn-in' so that on a totally smooth surface you can get back on the power earlier.
For rallying they do tend to make the car 'twitchy' on bumpy straights or long fast bumpy corners where the Mini is at a disadvantage compared with longer wheelbase cars already.
Increasing the roll stiffness at the back will increase the road-holding at the front to the detriment of road holding at the back.
Good for racing and hill-climbing, but not really much use for rallying.
