Just about to get me EDIS going and i want to know which cylinder goes to which point on the coil pack? or do the numbers on the coil pack match the cylinders??

and does anyone have an Ignition table for a 998 with stage1?? :erm:

Yes, the numbers on the coil pack refere to the cylinder numbers.

I have a map from my 998 with a 12g295 and an MG cam. It won't be spot-on but I bet it won't be far off.

It'll still be a good starting point for you.

PM me an email and I'll send it to you.

taking the *yellow human water* i know but could somebody show me where/what this is all about, have read a few threads and seen its called megasquirt or something? found a site and couldnt really figure anything out from the site it was a bit confusing
im guessing its just a mappable ecu and everything to go with it to make it work?
thanks in advance, if theres a site that sells it so i can read about would appreciate it

ta

Will it be ok for on a standard/stage1 998?

Looks good on the bulkhead, mine sits down where your old coil sits.

No, the Turbo map for my 998 turbo will be useless.

but the map below from my 998 nat asp will be a good starting point.

ooow looks good!!!!

Got it running today with one that i got from somewhere, (but cant remember where)
It ran pretty well!! sounded much smoother than before, and a little fruity!!
But it was a little weird when i turned the ignition off as the engine kept going!! once i stopped it i started it again and this time it did stop with the key.

Also been trying to tune her with me colourtune, but im not getting anywhere  do i have to re-profile the needle or can i do it with just adjusting the nut/spring on the jet??

and MegaSquirt, EDIS module, and relay board are in the passenger side of the dash with a wire from the ignition switch going to the relay board to turn it all on when the key is in.

I got the trigger wheel from Mini Sprocket, i think its just been milled from plate steel, and the sensor i got along with the other bits from a guy on ebay, so im not 100% what it was, but I would say get all the bits from one car and youll be fine, but also as long as the car is running the EDIS module then it dont matter too much what car it is.

Yeah also have seen it on Ebay, hoping to use it on my turbo. He will the supply the EDIS module and components for £38 plus p&p plus an extra £20 for the wheel. Saves me going breakers yard suppose. Don;t suppose you know the size of the wheel your using? Think it might be about 4.5"? Also where did you get your megajolt system from and how much roughly? Also have seen one on Ebay says megasquirt and its £160 any good?

I think the guy selling the EDIS parts is a member on the MegaSquirt Forum and will give a slight discount if you say your a member too.
Im pretty sure my wheel is 5.75", or 144.4mm. Its just a bit bigger than the crank pulley.
Im also using MegaSquirt as apposed to megajolt, but i dont think it makes much difference and i got it from someone who bought it for a project so i got it cheap, but it came new and packaged as if i bought it new.
The price for the V2.2 as a kit is £120, and fully built as £170 so as long as its all working then i think thats ok as your not paying any more than the normal places. I also happen to know someone else watching that particular item!!!

Questions arent a bother, thats what we're here for!!!!!
I dont think its right that you (meaning me) expect to get your (me again) questions answered but not answer questions when someone asks you ((also me), or in anyone else)

Ive attached a file were ive resized a schematic for the trigger wheel so that its pretty much 1:1 scale, and i put mine on it when i printed it off and it lines up well.
