Hi TMF,

I am in need of some 2D technical drawings of all angles (top both sides and front and back if possible) it is for a 3D model I am creating for a unit at uni.

I can only find low quality plans online and wondered if anyone had any high quality or some AutoCAD drawings (.dwg) files, this would be amazing !!

Thanks again

ps. I am not making any personal gain from this just for a project !

hi

im a 6thform student still but have had quite a bit of experiance in solidworks...

i vaguely remember seeing a solidworks model on the net (which you pay for) to download...

try googling for solidworks models.

apart from that i dont know of anywhere... how about emailing companies like KAD, as they engineer parts they must know some of the dimensions etc...

Damn, just noticed you've got to pay for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*edit2*
bloody hell, €10 for one drawing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are others in the list, all of the 'non-vector' ones are pathetically small sizes.

I think I'll be doing this, to go towards my final year project at uni. I'm making a car simulation, realistic physics etc, and I might use a mini as I can get the measurements from mine, and its quite a boxy shaped car, so the wind resistance calcs should be pretty accurate with a good guess, ^_^

Just found this

Those are the same blueprints I was using when I started my model.

Just be cautious as I found they didn't line up properly in some cases which was a bit frustrating.

what type of model are you creating? On Catia theres a free hand surfacing function where if you have an arial view, side view, front and rear view you can create a surface, its a simple thin surface without a thickness but might be able to give you a base if solid works has that kinda function
