Oh and I roller painted mine. (3 coats on top and back, 2 on front and sides, and only 1 on bonnet). I'll be giving the bonnet another coat at some stage so will be needing the 2nd tin for that and touch ups, so worth getting anyway. Obviously if you intend to spray you'll need alot more.
Oh and by the way, just incase you are rollering yours. Here's my two penneth. I did as everybody else on the internet seemed to do, and used foam, high gloss rollers. This gave a lovely shiny finish (more down to the paint I guess), but I left me with lots of orange peel, very noticable from half a metre away. Although from further away than that, you cannot tell. I think if I was doing mine again, I'd have used the normal kind of rollers, (the ones that look like really dense cotton wool), rather than foam.

Took me the best part of a 1 ltr tin. They guy on the phone to me when ordering said 1ltr was pushing it, and I'd have a bit left over from 2ltrs. I ordered from Avenue coatings, as they can mix rustoleum combicolour to any colour you want. I wanted BMC tartan red, and because they'd already mixed it they had it on the shelf, and charged me the normal price for any rustoleum coloured paint. Really cool guys. It took about a week to arrive from when I ordered. (Would have been less, but I ordered on a Friday). I know you've said you're going to use black, but it's worth letting you know about the colour mixing thing just incase you change your mind.

I found the problem with the rollers (foam rollers) is that you need to be very consistent with the pressure you apply and need to work fast since the second run with the roller tends to leave marks and orange peel behind. When you spray it it does not tend to give the orange peel.

Gloss rollers do leave lots of orange peel, but with 1200 wet and dry and a rotary polisher, a perfect finish is possible.
Pictures can be provided soon if anyone is interested

Got any pictures of your work Hekmat?
I'm going to be doing the same, already got an Earlex waiting.
If you look at my project thread post 22 has pictures of the some of the results, I have started the work on the front end at the moment so should have some more pictures coming up over the next few days/weeks.
EDIT: Here are some photos of the work from that few days.
Engine Bay (after 1 day and 1 coat)
Inner Wing (1 coat and 2 days drying, there are some runs on the other side which will be cleaned later)
Scuttle & wing (freshly painted, see the shine)
Another one from the Scuttle & wing (freshly painted, see the shine)

thanks for all the advice, i have just completed my first coat and as expected i have tones of orange peel! could anyone tell me if it is best to wet and dry between coats or just to put a couple more coats on first then worry about getting the right finish after?
If the last coat was thick and the orange peels are high and all over the place then you must wet & dry it now, future coats make sure you thin the paint by atleast 30% or more with current heat. Also make sure you are using a foam roller, soak in paint for while and then remove the excess paint on the tray before applying to the surface. There are some videos on YouTube, search for "A to Z $50 Rustoleum" and you will get a series of videos with details on rolling and sanding.
