hi guys. does anyone have a picture of water heated manifold and how its been plumbed in. still not sure what pipes go where.

This should do nicely:


As you're looking at it, right hand side of manifold goes to heater, left hand side of manifold curls around and connects to a sandwich plate underneath the thermostat housing.

Edit: Although really, in the UK don't need to connect it up. Mine was like this when I bought it.

Sorry, is it a 998 or 1275 engine? 998 has the heater take off on the block, in which case the left hand side of the manifold would be plumbed in from this instead of the thermostat side.

its a 998. ok im a bit slow at this sort of thing. from where to where? would u happen to have a picture or know where i can find one?

I guess this is why we ask for you to put the age/engine details in your original post!

It's probably not worth the effort looking at that, the plumbing would look a right mess. You've got a blanking plate over the heater take off. I also have no idea how that end of the heater intake hose next to it is connected up, sorry!

The pipe that goes to your heater valve (left side of block) disconnect the pipe and reconnect it to the left hand side of the manifold.

You then need a new length of pipe to go from the heater valve to the right hand side of the manifold.

Only problem you have is you have an ugly pipe then going across the engine, thats the main reason I've left mine disconnected.

One way round this is to do this.... use a solid metal pipe under the manifold to move the right hand connection to the left, that way you don't get the pipe going over the engine
