Model: Mayfair
Year: 1991
Description of problem (please be as in depth as possible):

Morning Guys,
Im currently trying to get a mini back on the road and the track rod end was buggered but the car came with some more when I have fitted them it appears the tracking is well off so need to move the nut on the steering rack a little down the thread. The mole grips will not old it so wanted to get a couple of nuts on the end of the steering rack to use to help me free of the nut on the steering rack. Hope this makes sense.

Not sure of the thread size and I cannot take the rack down to my local nuts and bolts shop so I wondered if anyone knew what size nut/thread I need to go onto the rack?

Cheers guys.

One should not rely entirely on memory of the spanner picked up to do the job.
