Hello,

I've been here a little while now - m project is here and I've added a few nuggets of my technical experiance to the odd questions or two.

So far evey serious question has been ignored in favour of the threads which ask "I'm gonna stick a cosworth 4x4 Conchorde bi turbo jet transmission in my mini" type threads, typically posted by people with a picture of a scrap shell on their mum's latest boyfriends gravel drive (with some expceptions- they know who they are).

My question is.... should I hang about or put it down to experience?

Of course your entitled to your opinion, but there are many valuable and worthwhile people who make this forum what it is, and if you feel you dont want to participate in a positive manner then leave or keep quiet. If you feel that you've been ignored, maybe you could bump your topics or ask yourself why they have been 'Ignored'.
Urrrm... ;)

Looking at your topics, you seem to be seeking information that not the average mini owner would know.

Such as R1 flange sizes, freelander diff ratios etc.

You will find alot of people are interested by something "new" so putting a gazillion bhp engine in a mini will gain a interest of the members. You will also find topics which related to the average mini will also get replies because many owners will have come across the problem or info the topic starter is requiring.

Its one of those things im afraid. If your doing something out of the ordinary, then you will have to search and try for that info a little harder.

Also, even if they don't intend to fit the engine it often leads to an interesting discussion of the logistics behind it.

Hello,

So lets have some fun with your views then, are you saying that the people on here who have chosen to apply a non standard and maybe even a engine that some people think will not work have mum's that feel the need to have lots of boy friends with gravel drive's?
Can I just clear up one thing please, have you left school yet ?
What very daft thing to say about people on a forum, do you now think people will rush to help you out in the future when you have made such comments.
The next thing you will be saying is my dad is bigger then your dad so tell me the answer or he will take your sweets of you.

My view is maybe this is not the correct forum for yourself and maybe your outlandish views would be better suited to a forum where everyone has a moustache, wear's cardigans and who live at home with their mum even when they are over 40.
I wish you luck sir in your search.

Now where is that Rolls Royce Merlin engine I want to fit in the back of my Clubman estate.

Um....

Sorry about that folks - may have been a little under the influence last night when I wrote that. Of course there are valuable people here - I'd like to think I'm one of them when I behave. Apologies.

I'm a member of other forums where you ask the kind of question I have been asking when you have exhausted all other avenues. Thats the same thing here - I wouldn't ask unless I'd already spent a fair amount of time looking in other places..

And - I'm 34, and no I don't live with my mum, or anyone elses.

Watch out now people know you have your own place and live on your own the ladies on here will be after you.

I hope you find the info you need on here, all in all people are a good bunch and like to help out.

Best of luck and keep off the beer !
