Hey, managed to get some work done on the Clubby at last and I've come round to fixing the manual gear lever to the car. Now the car used to be automatic, however the plate that fixed the old auto gear lever to the car doesn't fit to the manual gear lever. I've done a search on here to see if I could come up with any solutions but couldn't find any.

One, could someone inform of how the manual gear lever fixes to a mini normally, and two, whether I can use this method or whether I have to bodge something together?

If i remember rightly, you just use the standard gear lever mount.

Well I have the two bolts at the back (the ones on the end of the rubber mounts), but is there really only 2 bolts that hold it on??

The body shell is the same for auto and manual. Only the front subframe is different. The manual gearchange is only held on at the back with the two rubber bobbins, similar to the exhaust rear mount.

I've done two Mini auto to manual conversions.
