Hi Guys! :P

Just looking at a headunit for the van.

I don't want anything stupidly expensive and I don't want anything stupidly powerful - Just something that will work well and last a decent amount of time. Also, because I'm a bit of a ponce... styling is an issue!!

I want a headunit that, when turned off, is relatively discreet when mounted in my dash.

I've found the Pioneer DEH 3000 MP ... ?

However, I have no idea what that means! :P

I just need it to power 4 small JVC speakers that I've got... (Mounted in the headrests of my seats! :P)

Just wondering if it'll suit my needs! I'm presuming when the lights are off, it's mostly black on the screen and is relatively discreet?

Thanks!

Bean, when off, do you mean when your away from the car? If so it has a removable front to keep the nasty people away so will be plain black normally behind it.

Also it has 4 outputs, so will have an output for your speakers.

It looks good to me though, i like it.

Nup - I'm a ponce! :P I want it to sit in the dash nicely but not stick out like a sore thumb! The one in Reggie at the moment is really obvious and I don't like it - I want it to look like it's meant to be there... the dash is a black fibreglass one, so want it relatively modern but quite simple? :ermm:

I've wondered this, too - But DAB didn't really take off... Aren't quite alot of the DAB stations shutting down now, because no one bothered with them?

Hmm, looks quite good! Though there's a fair few buttons and I'm a pain in the bum! :P I quite like the simple styling of the other - Kinda matches the van in a way ... (And the van's blue!)

*runs away* :P

Honestly Bean, i think the best bet for you (being a ponce ) is to go to a car audio shop and have a look at the ones on display. See how they look. Get a few you like then look at all the features you want and see online for reviews.

It has 2 less buttons than the pioneer Bean  , and it has blue in the display, and manily black for stealth look hee hee.

Plus it is cheaper, 5 months old and I still have the receipt for warranty :P
