Yes it will, I have seen it done.

I do beleive this is a K24 in the demo frame, due to the intake manifold shape and inlcination of the block - I may be wrong though (pretty certain I am right), so dont flame me if I am wrong:

the K24 will fit
however it doesnt rev as hard as the k20 so you need to run the taller diff ratio so you still get decent top speed out of it

Hi, just thought i'd put my pennies worth in - i work as a tech at honda. Unless you intend to fit the k20 type r cylinder head to the k24 block you a much better fitting a standard k20 type r engine, as these are 198bhp compared to the k24's 187bhp. Obviously i understand there is a difference in torque, but i reckon the k20's torque is plenty for a mini.

I realise all this is irrelevant if you have been offered a deal on the k24!!

P.S I have seen good things done with the k24 mated to the type r cylinder head!

thank you Chris for that info.
the deal has past now anyhows, it was a K24 complete with inj and electrics, on an auto box with only 4 thousand Km on it. it sold for 480 quid!!
I left it as i was not sure if thats the way i want to go when i have a pocket full of notes to spend at Zcars.
