hi all

ive finish doing a little port work on my head and now i am looking at my inlet manifold and wanted to know if you can grind away the big 'lip' pointed at in the photo?

The early manifolds dont have them. Its there to help reduce the difference in fueling between cylinders, promoting turbulance and tumbling of the fuel mixture in the port keeping the fuel well mixed with the air. Its a very complex subject on the A Series 5 port head, but Rover obviously thought it was nescisary to try and even out the cross cylinder fuel mixtures.

I removed mine as well as alot more for the 1400, but that need the manifold doweling to the head.
