I was heading down a dual carridgway, had a friend in the passenger seat. He wrote off his mini on the roundabout at the end of the duals and said jokingly oh dear I hate this roundabout. I was going at some pace down this road, and broke for the roundabout. Broke quite hard and there was a massive bang, some things flew out from the wheelarch and the wheel ripped out of my hand and pulled so hard too the right, I couldn't realy pull it back in line under full brakes so had to realy try and bring down the speed on half brakes pulling hard right. Managed too pull it in and the near side brake locked as I was pulling in. Had a look and it didn't look good.

Here you can see the damage too the caliper and just spy there is something not qute right with the disc.

Here is where we found the brake disc.

I found more bits of brake disc around the area.

Then, I didn't want too drive it like that obviously so we pushed it home about half a mile in flip flops >_<

There is also a massive dent in the wing where I think the metal has actualy split.

I will tear it apart tomorrow and assess the damage.

Were they new or old discs? Glad you're ok, just a shame that it'll probably cost you twice as much as you think as you'll have to replace everything the same on the other side to keep it even!

Yeah, we were a little shaken up, odd that it's the same roundabout as my mate's accident and he was in the car.

Well was doing 85 70mph and braking hard for the roundabout.

Well the discs were around 1 month old, and done around 500 miles, so should get away with buying the one disc.

Where did you get the disc from?

If the other one's the same I wouldn't trust it. Get a new pair of pucker discs from a reputable source (MRA Minis do really good, UK made I think, discs) just to be on the safe side.
