What brackets do you lot use to hook up to the chains from the crane, towings eyes?
Also where are you placing them, or more importantly what holes are safest?
Cheers

Just get some high tensile rope and wrap it around a couple of times, should do the trick.
'should do' or 'will do'?
First time mate, I'd rather do tried n tested methods.

Maybe best to go for the brackets for a first time lift.

I always use a piece of rope now as I just find it much easier and quicker. A loop in the end put over the nose of the starter motor/cluch housing then up over the rocker cover and then down behind and up-round the manifold (far right hand branch). Back down and around a couple of times dependnig on the rope and you're done. keep it quite tight.
The engine is balanced perfectly.
If the engine uses a different manifold then I temp put on a cast one.

I've not got a picture of my new one yet, it bolts to the head studs at each end of the head. Much stronger, and like graemeC says, it tilts the engine forward so the diff clears the subframe.
*edit*
you can see it in this picture

Strange though as some say use existing bolt holes and some say try the wrap-around technique?
I think the engine is meant to be light, i might just ask a couple of mates.....
