hi there can anyone help me ive just stripped one of my 2 1275 engines and am wondering what engine it is and what it came from if pos i have bin told is a GT engine but im abit unsure i got alot of stamps for u.. here goes..

12HA83 looks to be an MG metro engine with high compressions not a GT engine. The easy way to tell if its a GT engine is if the head has a by pass hose on it, the later A+ did not.

You can but I've been quoted £160-£250 to have it done, it depends on how much running you're doing, I'm sticking with additive at the moment & currently our local sainsbury's still sells LRP.can you get your cylinder head converted? to lead free?
