The cross member is fine, the floor on the passenger side will panel beat back into shape, however i will need to replace the inner wing, toeboard, door hinge panel, both a panels, wings etc etc.

Also while in working on it im going to give the subframe an overhall and fit hi-lo's front and back, stick a mk1 grille on the front with some period lamps and a full maniflow exhaust system!

Good luck with this and I'm sure the car will soon be back on the road good as new (even better in parts maybe?). I'm thinking we would all do well to keep this thread with the photos to hand in case it ever happens to us and the insurers want to write off our pride and joy for want of a new sidelight bulb and a bent wing mirror. Show 'em what can and should be done! :D

Just a quick update, just waiting for the panels to arrive now before the major work starts

As you can see from the pic the steering rack has been pushed in quite badly on the n/s
Posted Image

Also i am going to replace the entire inner wing, and it will be easier to push the bulkhead and door apeture out with the inner wing removed!

portapower it, you cant really jig a shell because it aint got a chassis! But i am going to totally replace the toeboard, inner wing etc! Then once they are out it will be a dodle to push the bulkhead back! then put the new inner wing etc in! No drama! lol

YES, YOU CAN JIG A SHELL
if you are not going to jig it , it would be better to use a dozzer and pull the damage out rather than push it out with a porto power
and remember to check your diagonals and hights as well as the lenths , also it is a good idea to use a spirit level
