It appears that Peter Baldwin is now working with the following company. That is indeed good news. My son has used LynxAE to set up his escort RS2000 and they are a first class outfit and highly recommended. Jon Lee is the boss there.

Great guy peter and his wife they helped us a few years back set up what was the fastest mini in the world.

I think the fastest mini in the world is the highly modified 60's Cooper from NZ that has performed at Bonneville Salt Flats....

And I think its pretty obvious that the car seen in the photo is clearly a circuit car. That did win the what was branded as the fastest mini in the world race.  Which most people will know as the  PETE EDWARDS car..

It has been held a few times now. But the latest versions are not like they use to be I think they call it the all comers race nowadays.

 

If my memory serves me correctly it won last time around 2004-5 with edwards racing it.

 

It now belongs to Pat Ford who has raced it a few times in the last few years, it now black not yellow.

The 1994 'Fastest Mini' race at Silverstone during the 'Mini 35 Celebration' was a very close race between Peter Baldwin (Jack Knight 16V) v Bill Sollis (KAD 16V) and the KAD Mini just won it in the closing laps.

Its very hard to believe that the Edwards car that we owned and also won the race twice could keep up with the kad and the kjd car. In all honesty it was awful to drive.
