Just read Will Sparrows 8port mini clubman will be on display at the
start of the cilwendeg rally in Newcastle emlyn tomorrow night, one of the
best rally minis of all time, came second in the motoring news championship
in 1972 I think.

Will was runner up in the Championship in 1971 with Nigel Raeburn navigating in that fabulous Mini. Winner was George Hill, who passed away recently. I had the pleasure of co-driving for George in the DTV cars in 1976. He and will, although rivals, were good friends.
Every year Will comes out and marshalls on the Tour of Cheshire.
I'm not sure, but the car may be on show at the NEC in November. There will be other famous rally cars there including Rosemary Smith's Tulip Rally winning Imp and some ex-works Minis. Well worth going.
