I bought a lovely period steering wheel the other day, it was described as a 1275gt wheel but I'm unsure if that's true.

Anyone have any knowledge of this style? I have to say it's bloody well made and in lovely condition.

That is a very nice wheel. How much did you pay for it?

It was £42 so not cheap but it came complete with the boss and centre cap. So compare that with a nice motolita it's really a good buy. It's mint too!!

Very nice, i do remember seeing this style of steering wheel on a couple of local minis in my village in the 70s, i could not say if it,s off a 1275GT but, i don,t think it,s a Springalex.

If it is then you have got a bargain, get it on yer mini lad !!!!!!

Cheers, yeah I'm pretty pleased with it, looks a bit different to the mass of Mountneys.

Go onto mk1miniforum and post a picture there. The moderator Mark Forster has an encyclopedic knowledge of steering wheels and will tell you what it is.

Yeah done that, he thinks it could be an Astrali or an early Mountney. I dont suppose it matters, it's an aftermarket jobby anyway.

Cool!! Like I say, I've also got a 70's Motolita and it's probably better quality than that.
