Hi;

As part of my rebuild I will be spraying my Mini and have decided on Almond Green and Old English White Roof.

The Subframe will also be OEW and I may paint the underside OEW or Almond Green (Undecided).

I will also be using Matt or Gloss Black for the Hubs and Radius Arms.

I chose these colours based on some pics I found whilst cruising the net and a Mk1 Austin Cooper that I saw at the Beaulieu Mini Meeting.

My understanding of these colours is this:

Or this:

I popped along to my local paint supplier and asked for some paint to do the Subframe I was going to Top Coat it with Cellulose however they offered a better solution using a Fast Engine Paint also in OEW (I am using Epoxy Primer so it will be protected). They quoted the code for the Almond Green will be GN39?

Anyway I have just used it for some testing and it looks far Country Cream to me.

The code was BMC WT03 have I got the wrong OEW, i was hoping for a more Off White than Ivory or Country Cream like the picture above.

Here's my paint:

to be honest it looks whiter in the photo and don't worry about the crap spray job and the fact that it is inside my Subframe - like I said it was a test/

Anyway for clarification what are the codes for the paint in the pictures above?

After some more recent Googling I just found this thread, the Mini in the pic half way down is also the colour I am after but these codes are different (newer). Almond Green (BLVC 1212 / Old English White (BLVC 1205) model Year 2000, paint Code WEC = (HAK + NNX) Mini Cooper, whatever that means?

Have I bought the wrong colour or has it been mixed incorrectly?
