Alright guysssssss, do any of you know if I could get a roof rack made? I have been watching on ebay a bit and don't really see many. I'd like one like this..

So if anyone could point me in the right direction/knows where I can buy one other than ebay? Thanks in advance!

This one on ebay http://www.ebay.co.u...ca#ht_418wt_958

Not the same but could put your own wooden slats on.

I got mine from Minimine about 6 years ago, but I think he still has them, was £100 ish. Doesn't come with slats but that's really easy to do at a later date. Hope that helps.

I don't mind spending £100+ on one because it will be used enough. I'd rather spends now then end up buying two because no doubt one would come up if I bought a different one! Thanks for the replies so far (:

A roof rack is just so useful on a Mini.

Minimail do the one with suckers and a rail bracket each side for reasonable price :)

We could have a sort-of competition in terms of 'who has carried the most unusual load on a Mini roof-rack?
I'll start it. I once moved a complete single bed from London to Hitchin!

Thanks for the link but I'd really rather one with wood slats, if I can't find one in a few months maybe I'll settle for that one (:

Any welder should be able to make one.
I made one two weeks after learning how to weld. Im sure if you can get the right size pipe/bar they will make it in any way u want

I carried a skeleton on mine when I was a student. It was being thrown out at Uni and I rescued it from a skip. To be fair it would have fitted inside but was just too much of a temptation not to stick it on the roof. The looks from people were hilarious. Last year I took our old skeleton at work to a local primary school. It went in the passenger seat of MGB GT and that got a lot of looks as well.

Fabulous!

The single bed I carried was the base, with the head board removed and strapped to it, then the mattress on top of that.

I've also had 4 Lotus-Cortina wheels & racing tyres on a roof-rack of a Mini-Cooper 998.

The amazing thing is just how much extra petrol a Mini uses with a roof rack fitted, even when empty.
