The wear rate on rose joints can be very high. Good quality rose joints are seriously expensive and the ones supplied are middle of the road on the ones I have seen. Even with appropriate shields, they won't last long. Ok for a track day car but I wouldn't use them on a road car.

I have never found a way that works. On our race cars (not minis) we strip them after every race and soak them to get the crap out. Total track time is about 6 hours per outing and they come back full of crap even on a dry 'clean' track. We are a limited budget so very keen to keep them in good condition, but I don't think they would last long if you didn't. Decent quality ones are about £20+ each depending on size. Imperial ones are hard to get in quality form and are seriously expensive. When they wear you can pump new grease in bit it lasts a couple of minutes and then you get weird movement on them.

Not anymore, they never to stay put and are as likely to trap muck in as keep it out in our experience. For road use you would have to fit them but I would go for normal adjustable ones (that's what's on my car).

I've got rose jointed bottom arms and tie bars to fit to my estate. Mainly because the cars so impractically low that bushed parts wouldn't work.

I've come to terms with the fact that I'll need to replace them more regularly than bushes and I'll get more road noise inside the cabin.

And the fact that it's all solid mounted so expect to have the car feel horribly vibraty and even cracks appear. Rose jointed suspension on a roady - pointless. What benifit do you get apart from eradicating a tiny bit of movement from the rubbers??
