Interesting CNC machined head here from Elmer Racing, Finland:

Billet 8 port aluminum race head for the 998cc classic mini engine, capable of over 135hp!

Since these heads are billet parts, each one can be customized. However, below are recommended, "stock specs" so to say:

8 port billet 998cc aluminum head "stock specs"

  • 33mm Intake valve size (valves not included)

  • 29mm Exhaust valve size (valves not included)

  • 12:1 Compression ratio (with flat top pistons on a +.040" 998cc engine)

  • 304 Stainless multi-angle valve seats for the above valve sizes

  • Conical bronze valve guide inserts for stock valve stem diameter

  • Compatible with aftermarket 1300cc rockers (left- and right-hand side rockers need to be swapped)

  • No pocketing of the block needed. Valves fit in the cylinder bore. (+.040" overbore recommended)

  • No custom cam shaft needed, stock type compatible (non-sp race cam recommended)

  • Works with stock push rods

  • Custom exhaust manifold needed (exhaust mounting adapter for cyl. 2-3 included)

  • Custom intake manifold needed

  • 3 shorter head bolts needed at the front (included)

  • Uses 16mm (5/8") spark plugs, 14x1.25 threads, 19mm long

  • Cooling system designed for dual radiators, no provision for thermostat or heater (external "in-line" thermostat can be mounted, and t-fittings for heater)

  • Oil cooler recommended

8 port billet 1275cc aluminum head

  • 36mm Intake valve size (valves not included)

  • 31.3mm Exhaust valve size (valves not included)
