Engine/Gearbox related:

Security:
- Clifford Concept 55x Thatcham Category 1 Alarm / Immobiliser system, professionally installed with certificate.

This is what you do not get....

Points to note....
- She has rust spots in the usual positions, and I have tried to identify them all in the photos below
- She has a ding in the drivers side front wing and also a slight crease in the drivers side door, again highlighted in the photos below
Otherwise the body is in very good condition for its age.

I have a load of documentation with the car, including receipts for some of the purchases and work carried out. The car can be viewed at any time during business hours at Mini Technique in Pilling, near Preston Lancashire (01253 790189) which is where the car is stored, and I am approximately 50mins drive from Mini Technique.

As an opening gambit, I am asking for £1800 for this project. But am open to sensible offers so get in touch if you want to know more.

Any questions, please let me know.

Hi Everyone,

Just wondered what the general consensus is on this project? I appreciate that the price could very much be based on me dreaming what it could be worth, rather than what is is actually worth.

Would appreciate some feedback, and am certainly open to suggestions as to a realistic price. Would love to see the car go to a good home.

Thanks,

Darren

To be honest I think that your asking price for a project car is a little off the mark. At the end of the day you've really only got a rolling shell there that needs at least a new front end, all be it with some rather nice accessories as well. Realistically even a complete car with no MOT would probably struggle to make £1k, if it's in need of a new front end. So one that's missing an engine and the interior is unlikely to make you £1,600, especially when you can buy a reasonable complete car with full MOT at the moment for around the £1,600 - £1,800 mark.

I do appreciate that there's probably a heap of money tied up in shiny parts there though, so you would probably be much better off financially to break it for parts and sell all those parts on separately. The stripped down shell that you're left with might well be worth a couple of hundred on it's own.

Great response and much appreciated. Thanks for your honesty and it has certainly given me food for thought.
Thanks
