Ok so....

The std 1275 head came off an engine that we had running a while ago. Cant guarantee any of them as they have been in my spares locker for a couple of years gathering dust (not rust).

as for improving a 998cc engine, i think you can fit a 1275 head on and then pocket the block to increase your performance. have a look on here mate and someone will help you out.

i am open to couriering them so let me know via PM if you guys want them.

a ported 12G202 can also be an improvement on a 998.

The blue head is now sold

The red head has been inspected and is a nie and clean, recently skimmed 12g940 head. I cleaned all the dust of and there is a lovely head underneath.

Hi SuperTed,
shame I didn't read this earlier...I just discovered my project head (stage 3 big valve 1275) is a door stop (cracked through from exhause to inlet on on cylinder) and forked out on an ebay special described as 'good condition and serviceable' which arrived with a burnt valve and seat and exhaust valves so resessed i had to go mining to find them. Cost me £75 for the head and will cost £180 for new seats.

Where abouts are you geographically and, do you know approx how much a courier would cost to Winchester area?

Is the 1275 a 35mm or 33 mm valver?

Cheers

Ron
