hi every one,me again lets see if i can get a few replys to my topic,managed to down load a diagram i have made,
iam happy about the wiring diagram,its the power supply i am after,can i take a feed from the back of the light switch,ither red or blue wire, or from the fuse block ? or another place under the bonnet, cheers bob

Id check the pin layout of your relays, as it looks odd to me.
Everything else looks fine to me.

as for a +12v feed, i ran mine from the starter or you could run it from the LHS of the fuse box, just be careful you dont overload the existing wire if its old etc

take power from the starter solenoid and don't forget a fues

the fuse box and the wiring to it aren't up to powering anything else

are you switching the spot lamps from the main beam ?

Its not the power supply you want from that, take the power supply from the starter solenoid then:

fog lights: you can feed the switch from either the light switch or the fuse box. Beware if the light switch fails, you cant use the fogs as emergency lamps, so you'd better feeding the switch from th ignition live.

Driving lamps: they must came on only with high meam to be road legal, so you need to feed the switch from the high beam switch.

Heres a good diagram, apart from the fact that POWER FEED MUST COME FROM THE STARTER SOLENOID AND NOT THE FUSE BOX.

hi thanks for your comments,yes only drawn the relay for sketch,all connected right,yes getting both 12 volt supplys from the starter,for both relays,the one main point was the switch wire supply[86]relay ,hoping to get it from the interior light switch as i see it at the back of the switch [brown,live, red,side lights,blue,headlights, seems that i can splice the blue wire and connect a 10amp inline fuse wire to the 2 switches then all sorted cheers if any more to say please let me no bob

One other thing to watch. DO NOT use the black earthing circuit at the front bullet connectors for your extra lights, as it can not take the extra current, and if it fails, ALL the front lights will go out suddenly.

My preference is to fit an earth bolt to each inner wing, near the front (not much room on the radiator side but it can be done), and take all the left lights to the left earth via seperate wires and ring terminals, similarly for the right, so that if any one thing breaks, at least half of your lights stay on.

Thats for the wipac type, the other types have a ground wire which should be connected to the body.
Much better solution as the spots that earth through the bracket can have issues due the corrosion happening there..

Fair enough. When i put mine on, i put a bit of switch lube over the exposed metal in a hope that itll delay any corrosion

hi yes seperate earth wire on each lamp,yes could do left right earth conns, covering all connectors with heat shrink,could also use electrical gell [belt and braces]
