Just wondering if anyone has a CAD file of a Mini's front subframe that they wouldnt mind me pinching? Fancy designing my own subframe for an engine conversion (not decided which one yet ) so that when insurance allows it, I can build and fit it to what ever Mini I have at the time - Solid works file would be ideal :) Cheers!

I don't have solidworks anymore, otherwise I'd have a go at it mate...

If you have solidworks, I found some pretty good reference images you could use as workplanes

I've got a solidworks file of a whole mini if you want.. i guess you could delete parts off it to just get the subframes?

Whats your email? Ps it has to be a high performance computer to open it due the amount of components...

im going to be doing some ADAMS/CATIA stuff on the mini as part of my dissertation so having a nosey around a full model would be very helpfull as data more than anything

Im currently at uni so only have my Pentium powered laptop Ill wait till I get back to my desktop to have a play with it :)

Im very fortunate on the Solid works front, the engineering department gives all its students a free copy!

Be careful as it crashed my laptop and took 2 hours to open.. If your at uni, use a uni computer.. I did!! I tried rendering it, but some components needed hiding to make it render under 3 days.. (3d studio max)

my uni doesnt!!, use catia mainly but even that they dont give out
