I want a clubbie too but I wouldn't ruin it with wide arches and big wide wheels. Sorry to anyone that likes that look. Not me.

If its a genuine 1285 GT, Clibman front and put the correct engine in it. Sell that if you do t want it and then modify something else.

I had a project car, and it was only after I sold it that I realised the shell was actually a GT. I was gutted as I sold it for bugger all really, and I think the guy was going to do a roof chop on it

I've really warmed to the clubby now. I've seen some gorgeous examples posted up so this makes me more determined to get another back on the road, albeit with a different engine setup.

I agree,

If you really don't like the clubby look (which I happen to love! )
Either sell the project to someone who does and get a roundnose project,
Or restore it as a 1275gt and then sell it to buy something else!

But it's nice to see you've warmed to the clubman look...

clubman all the way i hate the extended front it just looks wrong!
theres a suzuki engined mini in my club and he used a clubman and you wouldn't know that theres a different engine under it unless you look though the grille
