im having trouble finding where the vacuum pipe from the inlet manifold goes to
got the one that goes from inlet manifold to fuel trap to ecu its the one that goes
from inlet to air filter i have a piper cross filter fitted and i dont have a standard air filter box
to hand

This is a diagram with the stock air cleaner/filter assembly.
The after market filters usually have directions on what to blank off. Maybe it is on the Piper Cross website?
Edit nothing on Pipercross sites, but this from K&N might apply:

Have you fitted an injection Pipercross filter? I know the K&N SPi filter has a hole for the Air intake sensor?
