Bought a roof rack which had been fitted to a classic volvo for 25 quid. It arrived today and it fits perfect. needs a bit of a clean and polish but im lovin it. Heres some pictures:

I can get a hold of some teak slats which are used on boats so treated, i thought of adding some to the rack but not sure!?!

That's ace, the wooden slats would work well aswell I think!

well i finally got round to adding some wood to the "25 quid" rack which after a tube of autosol, the wood, nuts and bolts, wood stain and varnish it is now more like the "55 quid roof rack" any ways:

The wood made a big differance, I want a old school roof rack.

Wish i could find one for that kind of money.
