One of my old minis was a '67 royal mail van replica. I'm still have contact with guy who bought my car and he is planning to restore the car.
Does anyone know what the original colour was of the royalmail vans? And is it possible to get the correct stickers somewhere?

Might be worth dropping Royal Mail a line, it'd be good PR for them.
I guess the colour ought to be post office red, is there no paint code to look up?

when your ready i can help with stickers - I have the royal crest already on my machine and the PO font is a pretty generic variant of a font I have. At that time these would have been signwritten by hand, with paint and brushes, so you may want to consider a pro-traditional signwriter to keep it authentic.
