I would like to get a set of Wood and Pickett arches and I'm hoping that a set of 13x6 Ultralight wheels can fit with them.
The WP arches are 2, 1/4" wide.
The Ultralight wheels will have 175/50/13 tires fitted and are a semi deep dish style.
I don't plan on lowering the car.

Does anyone know if this combination will fit?
Will there be a lot of modifications needed?
Will I have to settle for 12x6 Superlights?

Thanks for your replies.
Andy

I had sportspack arches under wood and pickett arches. They are 6x13 if I remember rightly. If I find some pictures I will post them.

i have 13x7 ultralites on my mini, and i actually bought a set of wp arches but put it this way, they are not very pliable at all. you have to have a lip to ft them as they screw on from underneath. so i very much doubt you could put them on with 13 x 7's
i made a topic about it last month sometime, got some good help from peopl, mainly a guy called (pauly).
Good luck tho mate and keep us updated :P

Might be able to get away with 6x13's depends on offset at the end of the day, the do have some give so you can fit them to a slightly trimmed arch, I got 6x12's under w&p's and they fit fine (just about streach).

Thanks for the replies. I've read the old posts that you (Jamez and Pauly) have written. Good information.
It sounds like 13x6 may have some poor/sloppy handling (175/50/13). At low speeds or during parking may be a bit difficult to steer.
I already find very difficult steering with my stock wheels. I think I need build more muscles if I want to drive this car.

Maybe 12 x 5.5 will be better.

I was looking up the arches at Minispares. I know the original WP arches are supposed to be 2 1/4" wide. Researching on the Minispares site there are bootleg copies made at 2 1/2" wide (which they also sell). The ones at Huddersfield are the 2 1/2" and from what I've been reading on these forums, there seems to be quite a bit of complaints about the Huddersfield's ones.

I don't know how bad the fitment is for copies but you can try heating it up in very hot water and bending it. Just be careful not to make the shape even worse than it already is. ABS or PVC may be too tough to use this technique.... heat gun...
