The superlite upgrade was one of the first things a lot of sportspack owners did as the satndard ones don't fill the arch very well, maybe you have a standard rack or the suspension needs setting up.

Have your suspension cones been replaced recently?? I was told that if you're going to fit the bigger wheels i.e. 13x6, 13x7's your suspension needs to be a reasonable state! Had to have my (front) suspension cones replaced before putting my Sportspack (13x6) wheels on.

Hopefully someone more technical will be able to elaborate / confirm what I've said above...

Alternatively, take it down to a mini specialist and they'll put you right.

Good luck :)

Is it the front or the back wheels that are rubbing?

I'd expect so as the ride will be a lot firmer and a bit higher with new cones. Although if you are getting new cones I'd probably get hi-lo's fitted at the same time. There not too expensive, and they'll ensure the car sits over the wheels nicely and additionally not rubbing the arches.

Maybe worth trying to find a local Mini specialist and get them to take a look.

Cheers

Is it on turning or when hitting slight bumps in the road? If it's the latter I'd expect it to be the cones. Again, I'm not a mechanic so don't take what I say for gospel.

Take it to your local trusted garage if you've got one, and ask them what sort of condition your front cones are in? Pretty sure that will be your problem.

when you turn

Hi-lo's allow you to adjust the ride height of the car. Easy to adjust as well, you simply take the wheel off, turn the nut a couple of times and hey presto :)

If you're getting new suspension cones then the ride height will rise, hi lo's will enable you to adjust the ride height so your arches aren't sitting far too high above your wheels leaving a 'stupidly' looking gap! Again, I'm just going what I've had done and what I was advised by to do by the mini specialist. All worked out well for me!

I'd definitely do a bit of research into Hi-lo's before getting the cones fitted...

Cheers

Have you trimmed the arches to accept the wider wheels?

If not then you need to trim them as they will always catch, the genuine sportspack models, rover trimmed the wings in the factory.

You will probably need the sportspack templates, I think they are on minispares.

Paul.
