I have just bought a pair of bucket seats for my mini (cobra monaco style but sparco make - only £17 bargain!) and need subframes for them. Do the subframes just bolt onto the seat? then once the subframe is on the seat, how do they attatch to the Mini? Is any welding involved or is it all just bolts etc etc because if there is welding involved then I wont bother - too much hassle!!!

We bought some subframes from minispares. They just bolted onto the bottom of the seat and then attached to the brackets that we had in the car. Was a bit of a palarva (sp) trying to get it all to line up because the seats were so wide but once you get it right it is fairly straight forward. Hope this helps.

Right Ive got the seats - not bolted in but wanted to try them for size! so here it is:
and heres the car (meant to be finished in 5 weeks!! - Not gonna happen!) you might of seen it before because I was on here a while ago but im not gonna go into it.
The seats do look faded and have their rips but they are 18 years old - alright for under £20 tho!

from the pics, would you say they are identical to the Cobra Monaco seats? I dont want to get the wrong frames for them
