Hi everyone, Im in a dilemma. The problem is I want my car to have a retro feel and I can't decide between having a number plate on the bonnet just above the Austin badge, a tan works style single bonnet strap on one side of the badge or just leave it as it is. If I go for one of the first options I will have to remove the monte carlo sticker. My dad is desperately trying to get me to put the bonnet strap on, but I can't make my mind up. I was thinking I could dye the strap a darker brown? Anyway,

what do you guys reckon, I need some opinions...

I have just rebuilt a studio 2 to look like a mk 1 at the front but decided not to fit straps as i think there are enough places on a mini to trap water already and i am pretty sure that number plate stickers (although retro) are not strictly legal "killjoy". But i also am leaving spots off the front as in the past i have had people knock into them and they intern hit the grille... just my opinion

just add one strap in a straight position, will look much better than numberplate

if you mean retro rally, then one strap, the number plate, then a proper sized monte carlo plaque above that

Looks very nice as is.
I'd add the strap but maybe glue it or use double sided tape to fix it to the bonnet.

personally i like it the way it is but can see why you would be tempted by the bonnet strap.
