hey.
that might of been me and my dash. i got told to coat the dash in resin. i got my plans for the dash and centre console on here somewere. so coat the dash is resin (or whatever your making into carbon fiber) put some card between the dash and the carbon fibre ,dont let it touch it though. and slowly pull the card out and press the carbon against the dash from one side to the other.
that bit i was ok with. next i got told to coat the carbon fibre in resin and let it dry and sand it down with some fine wet and dry paper. im not sure if it was the resin i used (i got mine from work) but my resin went cloudy and you could hardley see the weave of the carbon. if you have a hobby craft store near you you might b able to get some other stuff to coat it with that looks better.
hope this gets you started.

hows about no.
make a mold
not exactally the way i do it but good enough.
its the same kind of process makeing the item.
just wet out with the carbon useing clear (EPOXY) gel coat and (EPOXY) resin.
make a mold from fiberglass.
use epoxy gelcoat and resin, as its more flexible so less prone to cracking and wont go milky in the sun.
