Hi all!

First post here! be gentle! ;)

I bought my 1987 Mini 1000 a year ago, minus the back seats and rear carpets. Basically its all metal in the back.
I have recently bought some cheap seats for the back for now, but i was wondering what i can do about the rear side bins?
they are just plain metal holes really... is there anyting you can put into them to tidy them up a bit? I was thinking like storage compartments or something.
I've never actually looked at another minis to see what's there.. what have you all done with yours? i've looked for things but cant find anything really...

any pictures of yours would be great!

Thanks in advance!

The Mpi pockets may tidy it up.

That's pretty much as they are. There's a card liner that makes a a kind of floor in the bin and a vinyl cover for the wheel arch. The last Mins had a plastic insert as they have the seatbelt tensioners in the bottom of the bins to hide.

A company called ZAK auto design (now defunct) used to make speaker pods that fitted the rear bins. You might find some in an auto jumble.

ERA Turbo Minis had padded arm rests on top of the bins that were also hinged as lids.

MPi pocket liners will fit, although if you don't have rear innertia belts they look a bit silly and you will have to carefully cut mounting points into the rear 1/4 trims to hold the liners up at the outside.

Err, WHAT?

Anyone else think this is a spambot?

Yes it probably is a good option to fit a Maxtek MPI-16 Pocket Indexer to the rear of your car, after all doing some cutting edge medical research in the back of the Mini should be right at the top of all our priority lists.
