No Rear Seats, Is It An Mot Failure?

quite new to all of this, just bought my first mini and im well underway with restoring and modifying it. However i have hit a problem, Rear Seats, so im told it is an MOT failure if they are taken out and just left as metal framework. Can anyone help me out?

check the vosa website or something..
in my opinion its ok, aslong as theres no seat and seatbelts.... im pretty sure quite a few people are running cars like this???

So if you've got seats fitted you need belts, if you don't have seats then your fine. Thats as far as i understand it anyway.

Not that i'm an expert or anything, i think you can't have rear seats with no belts, but you can have no rear seats there..

That's pretty much the story for later cars, but it depends on the actual registration date of the car as to whether seat belts are even needed

If you have no seat present but you have seatbelts its a definite FAIL.
If you have no rear seats and no rear seat belts then its no problem!!!
