Just wondering where the best place to buy a set of Sports Pack arches is? Don't want to spend full wack on the genuine ones but don't want crappy fitting or looking ones. They're going to be painted too but don't mind prepping...

So where did people get there's & were they happy with the quality???

I bought the minisport ones and they are not perfect. The holes don’t line up with the genuine drill templates and they have sink marks in the mouldings and are generally a lot more flimsy than the originals, SP arches do look nice though, but just a few niggling imperfections with the minisport ones bother me because I know they are there.

Thanks for that Dan, maybe the minispares ones might be the better ones to go with. Hopefully they're promise of them being the same fit but just requiring etch priming is true! If anyone's got these before please let me know what you thought :strongsad:

Fibreglass from Minispares need working but look great when finished.
as a rule this forum is very helpful and you may notice that it depends when you place you question as many members are out and about.

I had a quick look through past emails when I was looking at the differnt makes of replica arches, i found this reply from minispares about these ones http://www.minispare....aspx?pid=36597

"We don't get that much feedback about these arches, but compared to the genuine arches, sometimes the stud location shows when fiited( ie as a small bumps around the arch).
The template for the genuine arches will not work for the non-genuine copies."

Ive got some replica sports pack arches that i brought at Southern Mini Days if you want them?
Not going to put them on as they'll look silly with my wheels... and ive just got them refurbed so not changing them now!!!

There hard plastic sort not floppy not fibreglass!

Cost me £40 but id take £35 (£45 posted) or your free to collect

Let me know

p.s there brand new only one has been taken out of its packet and held against the car to have a look at... never actually been fitted!

Has anyone used the ones from abs motorsport. i was thinking of using these they are fibreglass but surposed to have a return lip to mount reather than moulded in studs so in theory you should be able to make them use original holes?

Just to add i found the link i saved and just had contact from him they follow the same fitment to originals and with some working out you could use the original mounting holes or bond them on.

I think if I were to get some replicas again, then I would get the fibreglass ones.

Good topic Ive been trying to decide this too.

Any one used the Arc-Angels products before? They have sportspack copies:

HERE

Very tempted.

May possibly shell out for genuine arches but dont know if they are worth it at the current price?
