Centre Speedo Fuel Gauge Wiring Help

hi there are two spade terminals for the fuel gauge built into the centre speedo im about to fit but need to know which is live and earth if anybody knows, id rather ask than try it and burn it out..

found out one is live one is earth via the tank sender which varies the resistance to earth varying the reading on the gauge for anyone who wants to know.
needs a voltage reg. with 10v constant too..

You should have a voltage stabiliser screwed to the back of the speedo, at the top. It has 3 spades, 2 of which are connected to each other. The 3rd spade is the 12V+ variable input, the stabiliser is earthed through it's connection to the dial, and then the other 2 connected spades provide the stabilised 10V output, one for the fuel gauge the other for the temperature gauge ;D
